sweetleftpeg 0
Come on, let's have a group hug! Northerners only mind. 36715 So when you do it it's just craic huh? 36742 Aye, he's joking, you knew that though, right? 36743 I wasn't sure tbh. That's the trouble with "-ist" jokes. They're so much easier to give out than to take. I think we can agree on that. 36746 But you see, that was light hearted banter. It wasn't exactly 'all southerners are evil gun welding bastids' was it? I've taken a fair bit of what you've said as banter, about us not knowing what a vegetable is and only eating pasties. Howay, play the game man.

ChocChip 0
I've never heard of problems between black british people based on where they were born in the U.K. or what accent they have. There sometimes problems because of which Island in the Caribbean your family is from or differences between black people of African descent and Caribbean descent. Clearly a 'white' problem ;-)

I know I'm generalising, but I've noticed a lot of that.

Actually i think Nigeria has 2 primary groups of people the have's and the have not's but they are seperated racially (as in different types of africans). So maybe only some of them feel superior. Doesn't go down well though, no no

Of the Nigerians who come to the UK they tend to be phenomenally well educated (probably the 'have's' that you refer to) and they resent being seen in the same bracket as afro-caribbeans where the emphasis on education is (in all honesty) extremely lacking. Not that they should necessarily be seen in the same way as afro-caribbeans as the two cultures are very different-but they inevitably are by the whitey's who can't tell the difference (through their own lack of education).
