Exactly. The media must be gutted – first Owen goes to Newcastle instead of Liverpool and then their beloved Spurs give us £7m to “rescue England ace Jenas from his nightmare”. Brilliant.

After having spent most of the last couple of years talking about the potential of Jenas etc. there's a phone-in on Talksport right now, the subject of which is "Jermaine Jenas: what does he actually do that's any good?"

 

Bit harsh on the lad, but it seems that underperforming for a London club is a bit less acceptable than underperforming for Newcastle.

Yup - and that it was all those stinking impatient geordie fans fault that Jenas feels he needs to go and swim in a bigger goldfish bowl and make a bigger clownfish of himself that he already was.....

 

I wonder if the penny will ever drop through his arrogant little empty head that he actually has to EARN respect and to be "admired for his ability" - he needs to show some to start with.
