Bayern have turned to Klinsmann after Ottmar Hitzfeld revealed he would be stepping down as the club's manager at the end of the season. Klinsmann spent two successful years at Bayern during his illustrious playing career, helping them win the Uefa Cup and Bundesliga. The former Tottenham striker has been out of work since quitting as Germany coach at the end of the 2006 World Cup. "Former Germany coach Jurgen Klinsmann will take over on 1st July, 2008," said a statement on the club's official website.
