All I keep reading from various sources is people saying, "No, xxx is not inline for the job". These have rules out Shearer (BBC), McLaren (Anal), Moyes (Kenwright) & Redknapp (various). Then if you look into the line about it must be someone in a job now it rules out Mourinho, Jol & Lippi.

Kinda only leaves Hughes..... :icon_lol:

What about Ashleys mate from Tottenham's comments? 'If I were a Newcastle fan I would be very, very excited'

damn you wacky... fucking bastard like you, instilling positivity into my default disposition on Skeptical Thursday!

where's the quotes for that?

Is that the same Spurs guy who wanted Redknapp for their managers job?

BBC:

"I would be very excited if I was a Newcastle fan, as I know Mike will deliver for them. He wants to see good quality, attacking football and he wants to win games."

Might have slipped one 'very' to many in there, that was me getting excited :icon_lol:

Back on track, I reckon Jose will come out and flirt with us a bit over this, the exact way he did with the England job.

Did anyone see the tart on SSN when he was being interviewed outside his house? Hillarious!

The egg-head at West Ham was a self made millionaire. Shit, even Freddie Shepherd was.

The egg-head with the 5% share of West Ham which he then sold?

Nailed on Redknapp tbh.

Yep, I'm 99% sure it'll be him now. Pay someone enough money and they'll move wherever you want them to.

Redknapp over Hughes???

I think so, personally, but he's not really done all that much, and I'd hope that this season with Pompey isn't a one season wonder.

I'm suprised we still get linked with him every time there's a sacking. He's come out several times saying that he isn't up to date with the PL at all.

Maybe the bookies are just remembering a few articles at the start of the season about him being brought in as a DOF.

The millionaire forced to sell his share when the real owner found out being a self made millionaire doesn't mean you know shit about running a football club.

Ah right, the way I read it sounded like the guy at spurs knew who it was that Ashley was bringing in, not just that he had faith in Ashley's desire to see attacking football.

He wanted to get Redknapp as manager. The other guy (Comolli is it?) wanted Ramos. He ended up quitting because he was that adamant about Redknapp. It's not exciting at all.

He floated the company, made an absolute killing as the shares were overpriced. He is now buying the company back for less than he sold it

Its pissed the people who lost money on the shares off, meanwhile he now has a big bag of money AND the company.

Sounds like he knows what he's doing to me :icon_lol:

Precisely.. A shrewd businessman by all accounts.
