Despite having clear warnings idiots kept referring to them and apparently one of the players involved found out and unleashed their legal people on to them. They've banned and alienated most of the better posters and did their best to try and appease the mongs that recently joined and caused this mess. The beginning of the end was the Pure Football forum debacle which didn't do what posters were promised it would, and left the board with two off topic forums. RlCO 0 Posted January 11, 2008 Share Posted January 11, 2008 It seems that on Tuesday, someone ignored the warning which had been stickied about libellous postings on the RTG message boards; these posts were seen by the club, who alerted us to their presence. As a result the boards were shut down temporarily while the situation was rectified. At no point did the club ask us to shut down the boards; Admin and Mods do what we do voluntarily and without pay, because our own jobs and lives have to take precedence - so on this occasion closing the boards until all threads could be monitored adequately was our only option. If any of you are looking for someone to blame for not having the boards available for a day or so, blame those who think they're being helpful, clever or witty by posting unsubstantiated rumours. Anyone else posting unsubstantiated rumours will be banned permanently; Anyone dropping "cryptic hints"/clues etc about unsubstantiated rumours will also be banned permanently; Including the word "allegedly" does NOT get you or RTG off the hook.
