Noelie 103
IMO this would be an ideal match to start Enrique at left-back to show us what he has to offer against a team that will obviously be battling us to stay in the Cup. Question is; does Allardyce not want him to start in case he shows him up by proving he has always been ready and belongs in the starting line-up. I'm sure that's his top concern in this match Noelie, not being shown up about Enrique
Gemmill 46877
My only hope for today's game is that the performance doesn't heap any more shame and embarrassment on Jimbo, cos he's been put through the mill on that front recently.
JawD 99
It is a fair point, it is an ideal game to start Enrique like. Other than that I'd think our usual side (whatever that is). With no Geremi or Smith or Barton required.

jaythesouthernmag 0
Got to take the game to them and attack them from the off, let them worry about us not the other way round. Enrique has to start at LB allowing Zoggy to play LM, Smith and Owen up top for me as Viduka is too fuckin lazy to put the effort in to chase defenders down and Smith is a lot better battler than him which is a quality required for a game like this. Would also have Faye as our DM with Emre alongside him, Butt/Faye is too negative. Milner will have to play RM as we have no other choice. With this line up I think we will be ok, If BS plays hi usual shit then we could be in a spot of bother

The Fish 11042
not supremely confident about today to be honest. it'll be ugly and crap but I just can't bring myself to expect a win. my throat'll be sore from screaming at the tv regardless of the result though. Barney 0
There's some big teams out of the competition so far, this is a huge chance for us to have a go in this competetion. PL out so far : Everton Blackburn Villa Tottenham/Reading West Ham/City Bolton Birmingham mackems Fulham and Derby not looking to clever at the minute either

The Fish 11042
I can't see any of the teams left in it having the ability to put out the top four., you're only hope would be for them all to meet next round and then 2 teams fluking a victory in the round after. Barney 0
The draw has so far seen several PL knocked out, and as Fish says, you have to hope that they get drawn against each other to give yourself a good chance. Seeing the likes of Villa and Everton knocked out gives a bit of hope.
NobbySol 22
I think we should just worry about stoke first. By thinking too far ahead of what teams are left for us to possibly face is just false optimism really.
Jusoda Kid 1
What sort of a style will you expect to be playing? Short passes with technique and guile or long ball and strength stuff? 11 men behind the ball, most playing out of position and then just hit & Hope, you've nowt to worry about mate. Holden McGroin 6865
Carrol on the bench before Shola. Thats a : "Get out the club" if I ever saw one ! Lua Lua & Edgar on the bench as well. No MIlner, Beye, Emre in the squad. Only downside is Taylor will be right back and Rozy CB. Which worries me slightly as I think they are going to physical. Oh and Alan Fucking Smith is playing midfield. Of course. he could be playing his 4-5-1 bollocks...
