Whats the general consensus

Amid alot and i mean alot of blah blah blah on here im just wondering what each indivual wants...where do we strengthen, when do we buy, whats wrong with our game plan, what do you want to see?

 

I'll throw mine in the hat...

 

A centre half namely wes brown, probably the best available. A solid midfielder maybe nolan but im sure he names just banded about from shite journalism. A creative midfielder whod have to be arshavin, he's available, interested and high quality, and a striker....dean ashton.

 

We have pace in martins and he is a quality player, he's only 22 remember he's still learning and i think him and ashton would be great. Remember taylor is only 21 and by no means the finished article and still prone to a few errors and flaws but he dont get shit off alot of people on hea!

 

That being said i id only get rid of shola and if someone bid for owen id snap there hand off!

 

I think we got to look at when sir bobby was hea too, 1st 2 seasons we were 11th then we improved, he had time and we stuck by him, so i think all those fickle fucks out there should wind there neck in and get behind the team and big sam and be patience!!

 

Rome wasnt built in a day!

I don't hink Wes Brown is good enough at all. Decent back up, but no better IMO. Nolan isn't a great player, he just worked really well in Sam's system at Bolton.

 

We're in desperate need of a creative player in the centre, or Barton to get his old form back/get out of jail free card.

A change to the Keegan 4-4-1-1 formation.

 

I'd give Zog a go in the Beardsley role - he has pace, can dribble, likes to beat a man and can shoot

 

2 wingers, from the current squad it would be Duff and Milner, but i'd love to see a Joaquin or SWP on the right

 

The midfield two need to be a holding midfielder and a box to box. Probably need to buy here, Butt is fine for holding but we have no real box to box man (discounting Barton here), Emre seems to get lost to often in the middle but would be worth a go if we are not buying at the moment

 

Martins up top in the Cole/Les role. A Darren Bent (Charlton vintage) would be nice as a Les-lite.

 

Enrique and Beye look like good replacements for Barton and Beresford, both can get up and down the pitch all game.

 

Would love to see Woodgate back to partner one of Faye or Taylor (Allowing Faye to move into midfield)

 

So a striker, right winger and central midfielder as a minimum for me

Well i agree about barton, i like the lad, i really do, in his best days at city he was box to box, created, faught hard (on the pitch ) and scored goals, so if he can sort his head out and do a nicky butt and come back stronger and wiser id be pleased.

As for wes brown i do rate him he is solid and can pass the ball, would bring best outa tayls imo.

I like your thinkin mate, though i dont wanna be accused of living in the past i do think its a good idea. If only big sam had a ounce of offensiveness in his game plan! Though i think this is our best team.....

If we got ashton we could implement smith as our holding midfielder, just give him a bit more freedom than big sam has when used there!

 

And i say charlie at left back because i think him and duff will link up well!
