Do we have any mathematicians in?

Im doing some work for a website and am looking to create a calculator to replace some rather hefty calculations as can be seen on this here pdf under Valve pressure losses on page 2.

 

I did A level maths but frankly its all gone way out of my head (if it was ever in tbh) so I need someone to explain it in nice simple laymans terms so I can convert that to code.

 

Any of you lazy useless good for nowt students around? :dunno:

whats the problem it gives you everything you need on the pdf.

 

1. Calculate Kv (from equation given)

2. Calculate delta P (from equation given) this is your pressure drop.

It really is quite straightforward - forget the notation and take it one step at a time

 

what are you working with gas or water? and what do you want at the end?
