I saw them play last night here in Sydney at the Metro.

They were great for an hour fourty of the two hour gig they played but in the centre of it they decided to have a bit of a lie down, with the drummer and either the guitarist or the bass player joining them off stage while the other performed a solo acoustic song or two.

Just prior to that they were rock'n' but to do this for twenty minutes, including a cover of the most mundane Dylan song you've ever heard, really tore the heart out of the gig for a self indulgent moment on their behalf.

Then the whole band came back out and played another forty minutes but it was like the wave had crested.

Support was interesting if you like Mazzy Star, they were called Black Ryder, not sure where they are from but worth a listen.

You because you actually responded, oh did I mention they didn't do any Erasure covers ;)

Good band tbh.

They dont have a bad album but theres not many bands can play a mid set acoustic show like :dunno:

Led Zeppelin(2-3 hour set overall though) are they only ones i can think of or maybe Ryan Adams/Conor Oberst/Neil Young and a few more less obvious ones.

A lot of people dont mix the two that well!

There aren't any "mundane" Dylan songs, just mundane covers.

Personal opinion that one.

And yes I know all the things he's done for music but I'm not a fan.

Actually I said to a friend I was there with, if I wanted to hear this boring old cunts songs I would of gone and seen him last month.

There are hundreds of mundane Dylan songs.

It was a tongue in cheek Seinfeld mis-quote. "I guess there are no small diseases, only small actors."

Seinfeld is shit. FACT.

Well it was originally a Milan Kundera quote "There are no small parts. Only small actors." It was just funnier when George Costanza used it.

See yet again, if you had of used the preceeding 500 pages describing the shape of her breast, the quiver of her quim and its flowing like features one might be able to recognise it was Kundera but if you just blab it out via George's mouth then what do you expect?
