Deano 0
Whats so hard to understand about are situation? We got rid of dead wood and built a defence that SHOULD be capable of keepin it solid at the back, our midfield should be tight and creative and our strikeforce is potentially lethal! When will Big Sam learn? Beye looks to be the best right back we have for years! Though we will see an even better player next year with a full season behind him, and he seems to be adapting pretty quick. Cacapa again looks solid and authoritive and with time will become more accustamed to the premier league, though not a one for the future. Enrique is again one of the best left backs we've seen at st james (potentially) and i think once he learns the language and adapts will be first choice next year. And whilst he's adapting young charlie can only get better. Talkin of young lads tayls will get better, once played with the SAME partner and build a understanding. Once that is in place i can see, n'zogbia linking up with duffers well down the left while beye and milner continue there good work down the right. That there should be the basis we need to build from, with a consistant back four and persistant danger outwide from our wide men, we look at midfield upwards, for me nicky butt and emre should be our middle two. Butts been consistency solid and performed well for us for the last 2 seasons and should be accompanied with emres creativity and guile in our engine room. Joey Bartons and non starter.... Upfront is a funny one for me, For im an oba fan i am slowly growin worried about his confidance, he needs to start hitting the back of the net and get his chin up, maybe if we were playin well as a unit we'd see the real oba martins scoring those goals we seen last year. The boy needs confidence around him. And his partner should be alan smith, probably our best 'performer" this season, works hard and is solid should be given 10 games upfront where he isnt moved to midfield during the game. Owen comes back into the fold and is given the rest of the season to prove if oba dont start scoring. It isnt really hard to understand is it? We as geordies have come to love and know the football we should be watching and right now with alladyce's methods and tactics are really sending alot on confused signs from with in the set up. If he is to prove a good choice for us and i still think he can, he needs to adapt his methods and listen to the fans, a mixture of his "brand" and our "flamboyancy" can turn us into a force. Consistence is the biggest factor, in selection, tactics and in attitude, and management, if he is gonna stay and he should, he really needs to listen. 2008 will bring a real test of character for us and i expect a top 8 finish. Obviously not one of the best we've had here otherwise we wouldn't be playing one of our best attacking midfielders in his position. Enrique has looked OK when I've seen him play. Just did his job with no fuss, nowt special.

TBH you have to get the fookin idiot that is Allardyce to play 4-4-2 if you want any of the above to be applicable, personally can't see it happening. By the way what have Emre, Duff and Smith consistantly done to be considered first team 11?

No, he hasnt scored but he will once he is played upfront consistently and not moved into midfield! the best of smithy will come after his 1st goal! And in responce to sammynb's comments about duff and emre, its pretty simple really, we are resigned to playin charlie at left back and duff has now got the chance to prove his worth, u gotta give him a chance, and too with emre he is the only one with an ounce of creativity in our side! When will some of you guys stop being to fickle and over expectant? "Iwant it now" attitude has fucked us over far too much! Now we need patience... Edited December 31, 2007 by Geordie Lad... Whinging at the ref and fouling the opposition doesn't constitute 100%. It might be desparation because he's absent in games, but until he sees more of the ball I don't think he can be called our best performer.
