LeazesMag 0
Alan McInally, Charlie Nicholas and Jeff Stelling. They are ALL saying that zoggy at left back is wrong, Smith in midfield is wrong, and they understand the impatience, having underachieved for so long. It is nice to see, for a change, some sort of understanding and correct analysis of the crisis at Newcastle by national pundits.

Anyone who knows even a bit about football can see that Zoggy is wasted at LB and Smith has had his best games while deployed up front. Pity the fat man cant/wont change his mind. Peter Beardsley wan on talksport this morning defending Sam`s decision to play Zog at L/B, didnt convince me tbh.

JawD 99
Beardsley still is one of my all time fave players, not just for Nufc. However, as a person, he's meant to be a bit of a twat Trouble is with the media though, including many pundits, is that its easy to jump on the back of what everyone else is saying rather than what they think themselves. Saying "they need more time" is easy, far to easy. Often I think its somewhat of a lame excuse.
NJS 4442
When the Bellamy/Souness thing was going on I was pretty much behind Souness as I thought (and still think) that his side of the story made more sense. However the reason why the outcome (including Souness leaving) was inevitable was because Souness was a stubborn, bloody-minded twat (a quality I thought would make him succeed). The thing about people now having a go at Allardyce is that I see the same kind of bloody-mindedness in him ("I'm a top man" etc) which may result in him being more determined to see things out "his way" and for him to persevere with the things attracting the most criticism like Zoggy's position. I guess what I'm trying to say is that being a stubborn bastard can work for you or against you but you have to make sure you're right first - I don't think Allardyce is. First time was when the squad were training in Durham iirc. and then i met him at SJP a couple of years back. JawD 99
Met him myself at a charity football gig a few years back. Was sound with me as well, but if you talk to those who know him. I dunno.

sweetleftpeg 0
Beardsley is on the NUFC payroll, so he'll say whatever the party line is. Just like the players will tell the press that everything is fine and rosey. They all have to sing from the same hymm sheet.
