@yourservice 67
Even if they were on form and playing good football they still wouldnt come away from Stamford Bridge with a result,so it's a nothing game to me and expected result as per here

Guest alex
Does anyone know anywhere that they're covering the game on radio? Radio Newcastle but I'm not sure if you can get it online as it's normally only on FM with the Mackems usually being on DAB and AM.
NJS 4447
So if he doesn't want/expect to win and the performance doesn't really matter, what the fuck is he bothering for? What the fuck are the fans who've paid £50 to watch it supposed to think? I honestly don't care how many games we win or lose from now on - I just want this bastard sacked. luckyluke 2
I don't understand how he's getting a slating for saying what we were all saying after the Arsenal game. Although it would have made more sense to come out with it before the Derby/Wigan games than before the Chelsea game.
Besty 4
1411: Preliminary team news coming in and there's some good stuff. Chelsea leave out Petr Cech and Andriy Shevchenko and Avram Grant hands the captain's armband to Michael Ballack.
luckyluke 2
Is Shevchenko injured? If not he must be upset, one of his best games for Chelsea and then he gets dropped.

Although it would have made more sense to come out with it before the Derby/Wigan games than before the Chelsea game. It sums up whats wrong imo - I know it might be "true" but that doesn't make it acceptable - he should be asked what he is going to do to change it. How many years and what will it take before anyone expecting his teams to try and win should part with their money? If we don't get Chelsea size money then whats the best we can hope for - to be good enough for a nil-nil? Can he tell us up to which teams in the league he does expect something so we can plan our trips? (none this year by the looks of things) Leaving actual results aside I remember keegan getting slagged off for saying when we got promoted his next aim was the title - he might not have achieved it but fuck me whose attitude would you rather have? Cue "we have no right to expect anything" - bollocks we have the right to expect effort, commitment and hope - obviously too much for this twat. Tom 14021
If Chelsea beat Man City 6-0 then we can only pray not to be totally screwed over in some kind of record premiership score

JawD 99
Thats a stupid thing to come out and say. Our focus should be on winnable games? What is classes as a winnable game? Really, we should be focussed to get a result for ALL our games surely? what kind of message does that give the players for today? Saying our focus has to be on winnable games kinda says that we shouldnt focus on non winnable games. But if you dont focus on a game classed as not winnable then surely you have already lost it? He said that the 'focus' should be getting results against the smaller teams, ie. it's the most important thing. I agree. He also said that if Chelsea play to their very best, we could still play very well and lose. This is also true.
