peasepud 59
I caught a glimpse of this story when I was in the shop but was too tight to buy it Can someone confirm that one of these kids born yesterday is named Dom Perignon?

The Fish 11112
Was talking about kid's names today because my cousin is bringing her new bairn Olivia over tomorrow. I used to be really keen on giving boys a name beginning with "J" Jonathan (shortened to Jon, Jo', Nathan etc.) Jack Jonah (shortened to Jo' ) Joshua (Josh... but this is a bit commonplace now.) Joseph (Again with Joe) James (Jay, but never Jim or Jamie ) but now I'm liking Flynn and Finlay (shortened to Fin) still have absolutely no opinion on Girl's names though anyone picked out kid's names already? (Or had names thought of but vetoed by the missus/mister when it actually came to it? )

JawD 99
When we named our bairn, our short list was Samuel (Sam), Benjamin (Ben) or Leon. What we found though was that we both had names we didnt like (generally) or didnt want as we related them to people we didnt like. Such as Sophia I liked for a girl, but our lass knew someone who she didnt like called Sophie so we ruled it out. We ruled out Leon only because thats the same name as my sisters bairn. We also wanted to rule out common names. THough our lass did like Joshua.

sammynb 3663
By the way Fish Jo is the female abreviated form, Joe is the male. So it sounds like you're setting him up to be a poof no matter which way you go. Flyn or Jo?!?? Edited December 27, 2007 by sammynb

Flyn or Jo?!?? Surely Joe is only a shortened form of Joseph? as there is no "e" in Jonathan, Joshua or Jonah. and I might be wrong here... but I'm pretty sure a name will not railroad sexuality onto the lad. add to that the fact, my unremitting masculinity will beat any such thoughts out of his head and Walliver... I have no idea.
