Jimbo 175
Anyone else been watching this competition ? I've been following it from the start and next week is the final, to find the New lead singer of INXS, its been by far the best reality/talent competition I've seen on TV, some really great performers have been eliminated and there are now three left, and they are three awesome people. Can't wait for the final next weekend.
peasepud 59
Speaking of INXS, My claim to fame is sitting supping cans of lager on the back of a flat bed truck with Micky Hutchence at the back of the Leazes End. Anyone beat that? obviously Paula Yates or Kylie need not reply

Personally I would love Mig to win, I think he's a brilliant performer, I can't stand JD, he seems a real tosser, Marty is good, but I think he would murder INXS's back catalogue. I cant understand why JD is still there! Surely they dont want a Michael Hutchence impersonator in the band, christ that would give them some street cred. Out of the remaining 3 I would say it has to be Marty as he's the only one who's really treated it as a band as opposed INXS. He wont be taken the piss out of and has plenty of ideas on where the band should be going. Trees is a catchy little ditto as well! I think Marty would help new people get into the band and he will change the sound of the back catalogue which i think is a good thing ( if you want the old inxs go and see a tribute band, or JD doing the clubs!) I'm not sure about Marty, he's a great lad and I love his song Trees, but I just can't imagine him either fronting the band or singing the back catalogue, although I think he would take them in a new more modern direction. I like Mig a lot, I think he's a brilliant performer and would make an awesome frontman, my only hesitance about him is his musical direction in terms of song writing, Marty is a better song writer by a mile. I hope its either Marty or Mig, but I'm leading towards Mig.
Albert Kirkey 0
I think it's dead wrong INXS are doing this. Thought they were better than tacky reality tv crap. Haven't watched it because of that, sooner it's finished the better.

Albert Kirkey 0
Really? And it won you over, interesting. Tell you what I did watch a few weeks ago, was on after this show I think, the story of Inxs documentary and the recording of the Wembley live show they did around the time of the 'Kick' album. Both very, very good. And reminded you Michael Hutchence was the last great rock and roll star. Been nobody else that could hold a candle to him imo. Albert Kirkey 0
I'd agree with that, they really were excellent then, even by their high standards. Wouldn't have fancied being in 90,000+ crowd there personally, but it did look good.
