qscqscqsc 0
I found out something startling last night! There are different types of DDR memory. Apparently it goes from PC2100 to PC5000 ! in 10 steps. I didnt know there was anything better than pc3200 (200mhz) AM assuming that everything over pc3200 is special overclockers memory from Crucial etc. Anyone tried much of this overclocking milarkey? http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/mpartspecs...748D7B1A5CA7304 Edited December 18, 2007 by qscqscqsc
Lazarus 0
IIRC: DDR1 goes up to pc3200 DDR2 goes from pc3200 to pc9200 DDR3 goes from pc6400 to pc12800. Never seen much in the way ddr3 as its so new.
qscqscqsc 0
IIRC: DDR1 goes up to pc3200 3200 is the max for the generic memory, but the speacialist memory manufacturers eg crucial kingston ocz, make DDR1 that goes upto pc5000......this is the stuff with the coloured cooler panels on the outsides, and cost x3 the price! SO its not economic to overclock an older system using DDR1. http://www.pc-memory-upgrade.co.uk/memory/ddr-ram.asp Edited December 19, 2007 by qscqscqsc
