David Kelly 1260
I'm finally getting the + this week and I'm just wondering if you can copy things you that you have recorded onto a porn drive (and if so how) and how much space is on a standard box. Cheers
RlCO 0
The early box had 20 hours, but now it should be 80, although there's this gay thing where it records stuff for 'anytime', I don't know if that fucks with our space or not. There is an option to record (copy?) stuff that you have saved (red button), but I don't know what that means, it can only mean record though surely. I don't have that much of an urge to save my scat movies so I don't know....In short, I can't help you but I felt good trying
Jimbo 175
I think the current SKY+ systems have 80gig drives, which should give 40hrs recording time, the only way of getting any of the material off is via a VCR or DVD recorder,IE play the recorded material whilst recording using the other device, I changed the hard drive in my system once and I tried the old SKY+ drive in a PC and I'm pretty sure I couldn't open any of the files to view. RlCO 0
I think there is an S-Video port on the sky box, like I say, I'm not that much of a scat freak, see the asswipe thread for helpers.

David Kelly 1260
Cheers lads, 40 hrs should be just about enough until I can get a new DVD recorder to copy off any stuff I need.
Jusoda Kid 1
Almost sure the cable V+ boxes are 80gb and they've got 80 hours recording on so the sky + boxes must be 40gb. There's an option on the cable boxes where you can record to DVD so I would imagine the sky ones will do the same, one way or another.

For about 100 bucks you can upgrade the box yourself to a 250Gb machine - Clicky

RlCO 0
Old Sky boxes were 20, newer ones were 80. Then they introduced Anytime TV which records a selection of programmes to your disk, and I'm still not sure if this limits your own free space.
