The extent of the injuries sustained is not known. The last time the two teams met in April, 11 fans were taken to hospital after violence in the stadium. More follows. First bit: Romans were not the same as modern italians. Due to the break and invasion of the roman empire. 2nd bit: Italy joined the first world war on the allies side even though at the time the central powers looked stronger. They also never joined the Allies officially in WW2. Some people in Italy did fight the Germans all through the war as partisans though. And finally.
