Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
A multi vitamin and mineral combination as a general purpose, and vitamin c plus zinc if you've got a cold.

Happy Face 29
Recent research published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute suggests that taking multivitamins more than seven times a week can increase the risk of advanced and fatal prostate cancer. Some analyses have suggested that beta-carotene, vitamin A and vitamin E supplements may shorten life rather than extend it

Meenzer 15526
Sorry, that did come across a bit pompous. I generally ate like shit when I was a stoodent - if I had money then it'd be kebabs and chips, if I didn't (which was most of the time, particularly since I didn't get a loan, so entirely my own fault really) then it was £5 a week on Tesco Value bread, burgers, "margarine", etc. If I'd known then that you could get a week's worth of pasta, own-value-brand tuna, red onions, peppers, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, and so on... I mightn't have ended up such a bloater and had to spend the last few years slimming down again. Then again, it's a damn good feeling, so go team bloat. Ken 119
Goji juice. Pretty expensive but it works. From the Himalaya mountains where those people take it daily and 70 year olds can walk ten miles without raising a heart beat. Supposed to be good for your skin, sex drive, sleep, endurance and strength. Being a student it may be out of your price range but getting it in dry berry form and sprinkling it over a bowl of cereal works too. If you can afford it though, get it in liquid. I take it and I can vouch for its effectiveness.

The Fish 10857
tomatoes in almost every meal when I was in my second and third years. Big bag of frozen veg... not as good for you as fresh veg obviously, but they're easier to store and just as easy to prepare. There's bound to be an international supermarket near your gaff, so tootle down and pick up some new and exciting veg on the cheap. I remember being told Chili peppers speed up your metabolism, and so they're a good way to stay slim, just pop one (sliced) in your sandwiches or bolognese or whatever. Easiest way to stay slim is to stay off takeaways late at night, because you're basically buying them for tradition or to satisfy any imagined cravings you've concocted. If you have to eat, some toast is just as satisfying as a kebab. Swearing off takeaway was the best dietary choice I've ever made to be honest. Pretty obvious, but bugger me you feel so much better without all that shite in your system.

Almost always better just to eat more fruit and veg.

Gemmill 44872
You want to get some Vitamin C on top of that, I reckon. I have 1000mg tablets and take a couple a day, even though these are described as one a day. The Vitamin C that you get in multivitamins is next to fuck all. Dr Gloom 21921
aye. vitamin c is the daddy when it comes to keeping the lurgy at bay. but you're probably best off just eating a couple of oranges a day and drinking plenty of fresh orange juice
Guest alex
That smmothy company whose name escapes me do a Vit C one with acerola cherries that's about 800% your RDA. Ideal in the winter time for wardy off the 'flu and colds. If you actually eat fruit instead of drinking smoothies / juice etc. you get the fibre from it too though as it gets broken down when it's puree'd. It's also better for your teeth as the sugars stay locked in the cells if you eat the fruit whole. Can't whack fruit and veg really.
