There's book written by Oasis' former bodyguard ("What's the Story?"), it's quite good - the author is surprisingly eloquent for an ex para. Anyway, his description of Liam is of a petulant, volatile and quite dangerous individual. Would probably be in prison were it not for the band IMO.

Pixies and Sonic Youth were more than 20 years ago though. Faith No More started off more than 20 years ago. Fwiw I prefer the Pixies and FNM to Nirvana. It was more about their being influential / talked about. Not really into the Foo Fighters.

I agree with you to a certain extent Luke.

 

The first two albums were superb, classics. The B-sides and album tracks were better than the stuff the rest were releasing at the time. But since then the drop-off in quality has been massive. Their other albums range from rubbish to average. In fact their third best album is the B-sides collection.

 

It's probably no coincidence that the quality dropped at the same time the mega-bucks came rolling in.
