qscqscqsc 0
Its rather obvious that sam isnt working, however i doubt he will get the sack as the club dont wish to lose another pile of money in compensation. Like mclaffen he hasnt got the sense to resign himself, too greedy and stubborn, so the only way is to force his resignation. I recall in the 90s liverpool tried a dual manager situation, which eventually forced one manager to resign. Think if mort wants to lean on sam then he could bring in Capello as dual manager, with sam being there `to show him the premier ropes`. That way we get a proper manager groomed for us and force a bad one out. Think ill write and tell mort the good news )

Holden McGroin 6951
Surely just moving him to Director of Football would be enough to offload him - if thats what you want...

Ketsbaia 0
How fucking deluded? First of all, that's a stupid situation because if Sam and the new man do happen to get on, yet results don't improve we're going to be left with two men on the payroll both blaming the side rather than each other. Second of all do you really believe that anyone of Capello's class would come near this club at the minute? Take off your Freddy '8th biggest club in the world' Shepherd head, give it a shake and then put it back on. We didn't even manage to get a top class coach in when Robson had just taken us to 5th, christ knows how we'd get anyone of any quality in when our league positions have been schizophrenic and our hiring and firing of managers has been ridiculous. Scottish Mag 3
Even if we did get someone like Capello in (which I really don't think we will) they would be lucky to get half a dozen games before the booing and moaning started.

There is only one person who will be given a decent amount of time before the boos start if we aren't Brazil within a month, and that's Shearer. Hopefully he can end up doing a Keegan like job but I dout it. For my part I wish he would just be appointed manager so that we can get it over with it although I don't advocate getting rid of Allardyce at all. I'm sure there would be, but most of the idiots who boo and start calling for the managers head after one poor performance are from the Keegan era on and to them Shearer is god who can do no wrong. He'd probably be able to get us relegated and still have them on his side for a while.
qscqscqsc 0
"BSA is on record as saying he would not be willing to share power." I think that was the point of what i said. If he resigns its no loss to the club, its a win win for the club. To see if his{capello] style of play would work, it might be worth following how ramos does at spurs; I bet he adapts his managerial style to fit the premiership, and an italian manager would do the same. If he brought in more technical players to play through the middle would we weep at that. I think not!! We are all sick of the longball crap weve seen for 3 seasons now. Only block is how much mort is allowing as a transfer budget. Edited November 27, 2007 by qscqscqsc
