See McClaren on Sky there:

"Having failed, will you offer your resignation?"

"No. I've no intention of doing that. I've also no intention of discussing my future."

You just absolutely knew that was what the cunt would say though, the mark of the man.

Remind you of when that prick Souness refused to resign, instead waiting for his severance payout.

Every player, bar maybe Beckham and Crouch, was a disgrace to their shirt, their fans and their country tonight. As for McClaren, nothing less than crucifixion will satisfy me.

Btw just knew Gol would be attacking Gerrard when you know who was just as bad.

Good comment on Talksport: "Scotland would have qualified from that group"

And they are right, Scotland played with passion and commitment that England lacked all the way through, plus they weren't handicapped by having McClown as manager.

Joe Cole did okay and gave his all. Rest were poor.

Carson was dreadful. A Sunday Pub league player could have done better.

The pub went wild following his wonder save, the laughter when the replay showed that he couldn't get out of the way before it thumped his neck spoke volumes.

They were all shite, including Lampard. However, Gerrard escapes criticism for some reason, whereas Lampard gets slated.

Apart from Bridge, Gerrard was the worst player on the pitch tonight. He must have made 1 pass which got to another England player.

Embarrassing.

About Lampard, he will duly get slated... didnt realise he was on the pitch until after half time (seriously). Thought we were just Gerrard - Barry in the centre. At least he didnt fuck up his pen.

That's our golden generation then, a WC quarter and a no show. Nice.

Golden ?

I think we give them too much praise.

"golden generation" is what they have been called aye, not my words :crylaughin:

Exactly, I just doubt why they were ever given the title, and thats half of the problem, expectations are too high.

Can't believe how gutted I am though... it's frustration I guess more than anything else.

There is some pleasure in seeing those twats having run the England team into the ground, with decisions such as playing your best scorer and vital player in a friendly a few days before today coming to confirm how idiotic they are...

But at the end of the day we are left with what? We wont be there next summer :crylaughin:

Don't you start...

Can't believe McClaren is even contemplating maybe still being in charge for the World Cup campaign :crylaughin:

Was maybe not Bilic's place to say what he did, but he's absolutely spot on.

But I Did enjoy the match last night. :crylaughin::unsure:

Actually I don't know whats worse, the press going on about not making it (Which they will until the next world cup) or if they did make it them creaming themselves over this being the chance to win something. :o

Totally agree.

At least Lamps showed good composure for the pen. Must confess, I thought he was going to sky it.

Beckham and Crouch are the only two for me that deserve any praise, particularly Beckham. For a guy who's supposedly lacking fitness and was dropped by McClown as a statement of intent, he's the only player that showed any urgency or desire to win imo.

Aye, Crouch was about the only England player who didn't deserve to be on the losing side. Beckham too possibly with his cameo appearance. I'd quite like to see Beckham bow out with a prestigious friendly at Wembley for his 100th cap (99th last night I believe). Despite being overhyped in many quarters he's been a great servant for England over the years and he nearly pulled us out the shite again last night.

To be honest, he was the last player on the pitch I wanted to take it.
