We conceded with 2mins to go through a fuck-up by me and my keeper. We had won 7 in a row up to that. Last game tomorrow and 2nd place is guaranteed. It's so much easier as a striker when you've got the right balls coming in and you actually get service once you've made the runs. Scored a good few tonight, missed a few too. My fitness is good now but I need to work on a way to put in more effort from upfront rather than just make/wait for the chances. I hate standing there waiting during a build up. Have a few assists though. I model my game on Jonas Guiterrez which explains why I have so little end product given I mostly play in right midfield. My new job means I cant get every Sunday off anymore and the team has a policy of starting you on the bench if you missed the last game which means I will most likely get 20mins at the end of the game every 2nd week! I'm enjoying it, but with two young kids and a 9-5 job, I can't commit to missing half of my Saturday with the nippers. Welsh Magpie 0 Posted September 2, 2011 Share Posted September 2, 2011 I play in the carmarthenshire league had my first 45minutes last night in a friendly we won 2-1 was quite happy with my performance considering i im a right footed left back managed to run down the whole wing and cross with my left noone there waiting for it though fuckers. Knee has swolen a little bit and first proper game of the season starts tomorrow against Ammanford cant wait never played against them before. Kid Dynamite 7312 Posted September 2, 2011 Share Posted September 2, 2011 Dummy well and truly spat out at the minute. 2nd top scorer in the team last year, played every game bar 6 weeks being injured, we came 2nd and got promoted. This season we have signed a load of johnny come latelys (managers mates) who turn up when they fancy depending on if they are hungover or if its raining. When they do turn up the regular lads are getting benched for them, including me after playing the first 3 games and the team getting 7 points.
