trophyshy 7089
Well I was going to buy a house with my girlfriend (survey done all ready to exchange) but last week we had a large fight which neither of us seem to be able to reconcile. She just emailed me and said she didn't want to go through with it (we already live together). Not sure I do either.. Feel absolutely shite. I suspect there is no way back from this.......thoughts? Toonraider 0
Well its the same old advice, but you both need to sit down and really talk, not email. Perhaps both of you are nervous of committing yourselves to buying a home together, which if there are any doubts at all are better to have come out now rather than once you have a mortgage together.Hope you can work things out. Agreed, you need to talk face to face, if it is a commitment problem best it gets sorted one way or another as soon as possible. Fingers crossed for you. Dr Gloom 22402
my advice is for you both to grow up and get over it. life's too short to be spent bickering. if you love her (and i'm assuming you do if you were planning on buying a house together) you might just have to bite your tounge and bury the hatchet. i've been with my missus for over ten years, largely i think because we never let rows linger on too long. we shout and scream at each other liek every couple but it's always forgotten the next day. i'd say knowing how to make up is the cornerstone of any successful relationship (along with sexual compatibility). just call me dear deadrie yeah? Shearergol 0
Is the large fight something you're still angry about? Surely for the good of the relationship you need to just get over it. Unless it's something really bad she's done, in which case, you'll know better than us if it's over or not?

RlCO 0
Trophy I would tread carefully, a mate of mine got shafted AFTER buying the house, and although he never said, we all figured that the whole mortgage thing triggered in her mind the assessment: 'is this the bloke I want to marry?'. He was never going to win that one really, and although he couldn't see it, we could. So: telephone a friend . And Radg, agreed re. James
