Ashley eyes Redknapp

we need an Elano, Fabregas, (dare I say it) Solano type midfielder, one unafraid to put his foot on the ball and pick out the runs of Martins, Owen etc.

but is there anyone out there who fits that mould and who'd want to come to Newcastle? we're talking either a young lad looking for first team football at a high level, an untried foreign player or an older player looking for a fat retirement cheque.

Arshavin fits the bill from the couple of times I've seen him play.

as much as i have me doubts about big sam, getting rid of him now would be total madness and reverting to type after a solid start from ashley & mort.

He needs a year at least imo.

Let the torture continue. :)

It's going to get worse after the next few games.

It's not we'll sneak our usual lucky home win over the murderers and all will be rosey in the garden of the dense majority :(

any need?

oh and I doubt anyone thinks we're title challengers just yet mate, but to say the ones calling for wholesale change again aren't the dense ones is frankly hilarious.

Is it really? All this transitional phase bollocks is doing my head in. Look at our side, we have good players all over the park, yet we're allowed to play shite because he's still in his honeymoon period??? We play long ball and lose to a side who without doubt in my mind wouldn'e even get in the play offs in the CCC (Derby), we play defensive football against a side who conceded ELEVEN goals in the previous two games (Reading), he plays Charlie on the right, and Milner on the left v Pompey to narrow, and condense the pitch, because he knew they'd cut in on their favoured foot against Pompey. Fuckin pathetic. Worst of all, we've only played three moderately decent sides, and we comfortably second best in all three, City, Villa and Pompey. Stick to moaning about the weather in fuckin Harrogate ye arsehole.

would he be interested in joining a club that isn't in Europe and who are not even in the top half of their table though?

Man City?

Plymouth Argyle?

:)

I think they benefited from a host of new players all coming in at once, the buzz about the place would have been as much a draw to Man City as the rumours of who else they would be signing. Bianchi, Elano and Petrov all came with reputations from the continent. We could say that Arshavin is the final piece of the puzzle, but I think we can all see that's far from the truth.

I don't know if someone as well known as Arshavin could be persuaded by anything but cash to come to Newcastle and if financial reward is his only deciding factor... is he the man to provide what we need?

We need about 3 players and we need utter quality. I'm not in the mood for any more compromises, flim flam, grey areas, ready meals....skimmed milk.

are you utterly simple? Of course it's a transitional period, if you can't see that it can only be because your head is so far up your own arse. Stop looking for an internet fight and actually think out what you're angry about this time.

oh and I've never complained about the weather in Harrogate, nor do I live there, am I from there or have any affiliation to the place... so please, get a clue :(

Am I utterly simple? I'd class someone who starts a sentence without a capital letter as simple.

Your point is it's a transitional period, so all his horrific managerial decisions (the ones I mentioned and you ignored) can be brushed under the carpet and dismissed?

I'm not looking for an internet fight at all, I'm just giving my point of view, whether I think you talk shite (which you do) or are a cunt is completely irrelevant.

His tactical errors needn't be swept under the carpet, but how many of those errors can be attributed to trying a different formation? trying a different tac to change the way the games have been going for us? how many of these horrors have been influenced by the personnel available?

But, lets not let an appropriate reaction and reason get in the way of a good hissy fit eh?

P.S. the baiting about Harrogate wasn't looking for an internet fight? It was just.. what exactly? yet another personal attack on whomever doesn't share your narrow minded viewpoint?

Grow up Steve, you act like a school child.

Not to mention if this were true (which it's almost certainly not) why would Redknapp really want to walk away from Portsmouth to come here at the moment?
