Smooth Operator 10
Apart from Plasma's being a tad more exspensive what's the difference?
Happy Face 29
The way it was sold to me was... Expensive (like £3-£4K +) plasmas are better than expensive LCDs Cheaper LCDs are better than cheaper Plasmas. Dunno if that's true like.

Hank Marvin 0
For a start Plasma tv are Gas charged,LCD are not,Plamsa are better above a 36 in screen .samsung make 95% of all the insides for plasma screens. ive had both and for pure picture quality my new Samsung plasma when it was set up right after getting it run in ,was a soopa picture. my Sharp Aquos LCD tv was good ,until i read up on them and went for a Plamsa when i decided i needed another new tv 2 years later. tinofbeans 91
plasm'a allegedly have a more neutral colour balance in the picture. Lcd's are often cheaper and last around 25 to 50% longer. also lcd's sometimes have trouble with fullscreen changes of image such as footy games.. thats what i've read. however mine works great. BigAl 0
Plasmas use a lot more energy than LCD or so I have been told.
Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
Plasmas are better in the larger sizes (40"+), LCDs are better for anything smaller.
