Guest stevieintoon
She says the press are liars calling her a whore. I can't remember her taking legal action against The Sun for asserting she was paid £5,000 for having sex, with some fucker. Aren't you the Movie snob? either way, there's a marked distinction between reading Dosty's work and refraining from reading utter shite. Guest alex
The stick Brock gets is well-natured though. I think everyone apart from Gol likes him. He seems to take it in the manner in which it is intended anarl. Who were you on about by the way? I'm not personally offended if you did mean me. I can be snobby - so fuck - I've never pretended to be anything I'm not and I never say I like something for effect. I'll watch 'Corrie' and admit it too. I just find the 'you're all a bunch of *insert offensive remark* on here' straight out the J69 / Stevieintoon book of lame insults to be honest. If you have a problem with what someone says you should take them to task I reckon.

"Lamer" "lame" "owned" "talk to the hand" "don't even go there", and it's particularly sad to see a reputable 31 year old man follow suit through no fault of his own. Owned is the worst one though, fuckin yanks eh. She looked like Ferris Buellar's sister back in the day.

If you have a problem with what someone says you should take them to task I reckon. Well I wouldn't call any of you a bunch of offensive remarks and i probably should have included a smiley because it was meant in good humour. But, I can't fathom the hate some people have for other people who're just doing what they enjoy. I take it all with a pinch of salt when someone says there should be a cull so I wouldn't take them to task. They don't really believe it. I do remember being at a work party where the group I was stood with started going on about how they put up with the working class, but that's all they can do and mingling with them would be abhorrent. I took them to task the wankers.

Meenzer 15561
"Lame insult", "lame excuse" etc. certainly aren't last-10-years Americanisms. "Lamer" and its ilk are a different matter, obviously.

The Fish 10876
Having a related argument at work with one of the lads. He was retelling an anecdote, using the worst English known to man. Awful grammar, unnecessary "you know what I mean"s at the end of every sentence etc. etc. etc. I was polite as possible for as long as possible but I had to say something when he said "... but we was lending this dvd off of this bloke, you know what I mean?" got into a heated debate with him because he said that there's a difference between speaking improperly and speaking in a Northern dialect. I know that this is true, but he wasn't speaking in a dialect he was just speaking poorly. He said that saying "We had borrowed a dvd from a mate" would make him sound like an idiot. I know that it's not really my business how anyone speaks, what they watch or who they listen to; but this ignorance of the English language and obsession with non-celebrity makes my eyes itch and my teeth bleed. Heat, Hello, Now and Nuts are all vultures, they feed on the weak amongst us, caring only for their fill of sales and advert revenue. They exist solely to perpetuate their own existence, their stories are there, not to further debate raise awareness or challenge establishment, they're there to sell the next copy. p.s. When did reading challenging books, listening to original music or speaking properly become a bad thing?
