Guest James_coDurham
Renowned as a drink, but for years we've had it on toast, marmite style, in our house. It was only a couple of years ago that I realized other people only see it as a drink, and when I told them about having it on toast they considered it a bit odd! Anyone else tried it? The Fish 10972
Cheese, surely Lime Marmalade FTW tbh Tuna Melt deserves a mention too. Tuna Mayo with tarragon, crumbled blue cheese on a this slice of granary loaf, melt extra mature white cheddar over the top with the obligatory Worcester Sauce. The Fish 10972
Does it not make the toast really soggy? It's really thick bread, so you toast the bread a little first, then bang on the Tuna (I tend not to use a lot of Mayo anyway), then add the cheese, finally the sauce. it's all good! Toonraider 0
I've always had Bovril on toast, ever since i was a child. I've never even tried it as a drink! I like marmite too. Both are nice on hot buttered crumpets.
