NOt sure what drives icelands economy, possibly fishing?? Norwegians are pretty well off but it's not exactly a big economy, is it? The population is too small for a kick-off. The population is too small for a kick-off. its all oil money in Norway - and they aren't sharing - and they already import most of their goods from us and the Eu so there'd be no gain if we were on our own iceland only has fish but they have a "very adventuous financial sector" - which seems to mean about 5 icelanders borrowing zillions and then buying UK companies - and only 250,000 of them Denmark, Sweden & Finland are in the Eu and aren't coming out so it doesn't leave us with much for the "New EFTA" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
