Asprilla 96
I know most people here (myself included) were less than thrilled when Souness was appointed. However, my attitude towards football is like marriage, ie, divorce is too frequently seen as the answer. Stick together and all that. However, once a manager has lost the players and the crowd, he is effectively a sitting duck. It happens to most managers and I can't recall many instances of people "getting out of jail" (Alex Ferguson being a notable exception). Does anyone believe Souness will? Maybe Shepherd should just take over as he seems to be the one who picks the players! Edited September 14, 2005 by Asprilla's foreskin

Papa Lazaru 0
Never mind Shepherd taking over, just asking the players to randomly pick the team themselves would be a big improvement on Souness. Lets be honest do you think Shearer and Owen would allow a midfield to contain Carr and Faye at home to Fulham given a choice!!!
