Ketsbaia 0
Gary Speed will be offered a coaching role at Newcastle if he cannot resolve differences with Bolton manager Sammy Lee. The 38-year-old firstteam coach was stunned to be left out of the team to face Chelsea on Sunday and spent yesterday in discussions about his future. Speed had five seasons at Newcastle and was sounded out about moving back when former Bolton boss Sam Allardyce took over as manager in May. But his desire to combine playing with coaching ensured he became part of Lee's backroom staff. Joey Barton could make his full Newcastle debut against Tottenham a week on Monday after coming through a closed-doors friendly against Rangers at Newcastle's training ground yesterday. Newcastle have signed striker Wesley Ngo Baheng, 18, from French second division side Le Havre. The player will arrive in January after the clubs agreed a compensation package. I'm assuming the Mail writers had alot of "Asylum seekers give house prices Cancer" stories to do, hence the reason that's knocked together very poorly http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...in_page_id=1779 Edited October 10, 2007 by Skol

Craig 6701
Getting Speed back here as a player / coach would be an astute move IMO. I still think he's never properly been replaced.

trophyshy 7095
I, for one, and I have had many supportive PM's on this, am deeply concerned about Gary Speed coming back here. After all, when he was here he continued to play games for his country when fit and was happy enough to leave for another club rather than toss himself off the Tyne bridge in front of people coughing up their hard earned cash. If he was to return I could never truly be sure of his motives, I would always have a nagging doubt that he was merely trying to ensure his current family and future genetic heritage had the best possible opportunity to survive and, with luck, have a good life. That's the kind of attitude that makes me want to call anyone within earshot a cunt or a wanker.
