Fish still wishes Daddy had Not ashamed to say that I think that I would have performed better in a private school than I did in state school. I definitely will send my kids to the best school I can, at the minute the schools with the best results are the ones you have to pay for. It follows that those are the schools I'd want to send my kids to. I know the arguments against private education are as numerous as they are emotive so I'm not going to say that all state educated kids are thick as shit and all private kids go on to use that advantage to best effect. In fact I know plenty of examples that buck the trend from both sides. However, the fact remains that the schools which charge perform better in the only gauge that's readily available. My parents told me that they were thinking of sending me to a private school, but thought I'd do better at state school and that I wouldn't handle the change (in friends and process) so they chose to send me to the local state school. I reckon it was also partly dictated by them sending both my elder sisters to the same state school and them not wanting to play favourites. The 1968 Mustang GT 390 Fastback from Bullitt is a classic, the Mach1 / Boss 351 (a la Saxondale) is borderline and anything after that should go in the crusher.
