Guest James_coDurham
New album. Awesome. Even better than James Blunt's. Roll On is probably the best song, ever. Blue Jeans and A Rosary is also up there. http://www.muchmusic.com/music/firstspin/kidrock/ Edited October 8, 2007 by James_coDurham

He has one of the best selling albums in the U.S of all time so it can't be that awful. You ever actually sat and listened to a Kid Rock album without judging him on American Bad Ass or Bawitdaba? If it's not I apologise and hope you get well soon. I'm halfway through the Blunt thread now though and I have to say it's gerld. The funniest thing is the righteous indignation of people saying you're scum for liking the blunt then recommending Jack Johnson or Newton Faulkner. It certainly backs up your theory and gives everyone the impression that you're judging his music fairly. Nice one.

Guest James_coDurham
When somebody actually gives an opinion after listening to it I'll respect them. Otherwise you'll be dismissed as a Verlaine style up-your-own-arse patronizing shitbag who thinks their music taste is superior to everybody else's. Well he's always been good imo, but for those who didn't like his previous, this album is certainly a completely different direction to what he used to produce. He's been slowly progressing through the genre's with each album and this is more southern rock 'n' roll as opposed to the 'rapping to rock guitars' that he's stereotyped to because of his previous commercialized songs. Meenzer 15552
So what we're saying is that Kid Rock's musical style has evolved but his fans are still a bunch of petulant, misunderstood teenagers?

I don't think I've listened to a Blunt track since I heard You're Beautiful and was stunned that a man would want to put his name to such immature lyrics. Call me Verlaine, but you've already seen the reaction of 99% of posters on here to Blunt. So when you made the comparison, you were fishing for exactly this kind of response. Obviously, that's why his record with Sheyrl Crow, Picture, was number one on country radio. Cos the teens just love da country funk man!!!!
