I've had a look at the site myself and it doesn't look good: "The BT Voyager 2100 Router will not allow you to forward enough ports, to run MSN Messenger. You should try using the DMZ portion of this router if it is available. Alternatively you can try switching the router to bridged mode. You will need to contact your ISP to switch to bridged mode, so they can make the required changed on their end." http://www.portforward.com/english/routers...N_Messenger.htm
themags 0
i managed to get on msn, unfortunatly it means by-passing the hardware firewall on the router using that DMZ Portion, which i know is not a good idea for windows pc's Surly the Port Forward option should help, cant believe i missed it on on the Virtual Server Configuration http://www.adslguide.org.uk/hardware/revie...voyager2100.asp Is Jimbo's mobile help line available tonight if i get stuck? adios 717
This is what portforward.com has to say about the BT 2100 and Messenger: The BT Voyager 2100 Router will not allow you to forward enough ports, to run MSN Messenger. You should try using the DMZ portion of this router if it is available. Alternatively you can try switching the router to bridged mode. You will need to contact your ISP to switch to bridged mode, so they can make the required changed on their end. That's taking the piss. Good site for this stuff generally. http://www.portforward.com/english/routers...N_Messenger.htm
