Jimbo 175 Posted September 19, 2007 Share Posted September 19, 2007 Apparently there is an Ultimate Edition in the works, 9 discs from what I hear, but due to the less than enthusiastic response from the previous versions of the films that was released (IE the DVD set of the original theatrical verisons) it seems Lucasfilm is worried that interest has cooled, but they may just have put this project on the back burner for a couple or years until demand increases. The said back in ~1996 that the original theatrical versions would never be re-released (after the updated versions came out).... then they did. Maybe that has something to do with those not selling.
