JawD 99
On reflection, I think we lacked creativity. We didnt create alot and I agree our movement of fthe ball was poor. It is good to keep a clean sheet though. Villa looked better than I expected and pushed well for it. I think we'd maybe need to drop on of the centre midfielders for someone with a bit more going forward to link up with the front. How we played yesterday would be more what Id hope to have away from home. Still, only two games in and we are looking much improved over last season. Some people just need to be more patient and realistic.
JawD 99
Does anyone find "Keano he wanks his dog Keano" funny. I think it's shit. The main positive I forgot to mention is at least noo we dont have to check our phones every 10 mins to see how longs gone, with them little clocks in the corners. Actually no, not really. Was funny the first time and Im pretty sick of it already. Id rather have a witty line than that one. Much prefer the "They dont me I should go to Sunderland but I said, no, no no" (as in Amy Whitehouse).
Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
I've been surprised by the level of over-reaction to a dull game. It was a bit disappointing after last week but there is a thread on N-O suggesting that Phil Gartside was right to get rid of Allardyce. That'll be the Bolton who are bottom with no points then will it? And didn't Villa have something to do with it, O'neill isn't really known for sending out Keegan-esque teams to wow the fans with samba football is he? sandman02uk 0
O'Neil is a quality manager and hes building a good side down in the midlands, make no mistake this is a game we would of lost last season, so to have keep a clean sheet and to take a point from the game I'm happy. Also bear in mind that only Man City and Chelsea have started better than we have (games played) I've always maintained I would be happy with an above mid table finish (8/9th) and use that as a spring board for the next few seasons
MrBass 2637
As our game was on Setanta I see that it's isn't one you can watch extended highlights of on Sky's Football First.... now that blows Sky seem to spit their dummy out when something is on Setanta. When we played Sampdoria they had live scores on every other friendly but ours. Probably a rights issue tbf.

Stephen 0
Villa made it hard for us, and tbf they probably should have knicked it. I'm pleased with our start to the season, it's going to take a while but everyone just has to be patient with the new set-up.
