Shearergol 0
Marvellous day yesterday !!! Sitting in row 2 (unfortunately in the sun all day) Mr Warne booed and hissed like a pantomime villain (and he LOVES it) and he is all that stands betwen England and victory - the moment he comes on half the England side go into palpitations. Strauss batted almost all day and was never in any trouble while at the ther end........... mind Flintoff played superbly - he reined in his aggresieve tendencies and grafted away You have to ask questiosn about Bell and Vaughan - they played very poor shots indeed and their overall record in this series is very poor........... wouldn't have missed it for the world!!!! 30659[/snapback] According to the averages, Vaughan is our 4th best batsman this series. Bell may be in poor form, but he's still a quality player.

Papa Lazaru 0
Great effort from Giles and Harmison. Gutted when they got the lbw as i fancied Harmison to smack a few more big shots and with Giles going well i think they could have sneaked 400 which would have been great. snakehips 0
Well done Billy Bowden. Giles out LBW to a ball that was clearly missing the stumps (a blind man could spot that one was missing). It was even one of Warne's appeals which tells you he's just appealing in the hope of getting a decision! Now he refuses a Giles appeal when the ball was going to hit the stumps! Well done, Billy! Unless something dramatic happens, we are going to get a pasting here.

Gemmill 46030
Covers going on and it's raining lightly now apparently. Trust it to start at tea. EDIT - might even just be precautionary. Edited September 9, 2005 by Gemmill
Papa Lazaru 0
We really could do with some serious rain here! We usually always get early wickets and then we have the 5 bowlers to get on top of them. Now they are off to a flyer and we are missing Jones, though to be fair to him Collingwood hasn't done badly. emperor_k 1
It would be just our luck. A large dose of rain is much needed.

Steve 0
Yes, it'll be just your luck that it won't rain, that England at their best have let a very dodgy looking Aussie team back into contention in the second and fourth tests when we had no right to get as close as we did. England lack that killer instinct when it comes to killing off a match. A tied series will be the fairest result.
