ChezGiven 0
Robert Plant & Allison Krauss or Elbow. That is all. It is pretty good. He must have thought Walking Into Clarksdale was canny shite if he felt the urge to re-record his own songs with someone other than Jimmy Page. The Raising Sand version of Please Read The Letter IS a mile better like. Dan Le Sac and Scroobius Pip should have been in front of Burial. Agreed, listened to Burial this morning on the way to work, was interesting but fairly basic stuff.
Golden Glory 0
I disagree with that, I didn't think Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip, their album at least, was cohesive at all. Some good tracks, but by no means a great album.
Happy Face 29
Elbow win. And they're off their tits giggly.
Meenzer 15432
Easy to dismiss as a fairly standard muso bloke decision, but it's a canny album. And their response was well worth it.
tinofbeans 91
for me the burial album stands out , but its onlly because i use similar production methods..... i.e. a shedload of reverb! fair play to elbow.... not a bad album at all. The Mighty Hog 508
Over the moon, thought if they didn't get it for Asleep they'd never win it.
Happy Face 29
Who would you like to see on the list? The Boy Least Likely To Late of the Pier I didn't really love either of them, but that's about it for me and British music this year. Five live just called lily Allen a waxed Chas n Dave. Matty 0
I'd like to see Kasabian on there because I think their new album is class.

Guest alex
I know it's an overused word but it really is such a pretentious award.
Happy Face 29
Apparently the Invisible are "the British TV on the radio" which sounds promising.

No-one could call those first 5 nominations SloopJohn-like in ther pretension.

Happy Face 29
Anthony and Alistair from Sweet Billy Pilgrim currently play in The Boy Least Likely To's touring band, and Anthony's playing is featured on both The Boy Least Likely To albums. So at least one of my picks is tenuously associated to a nominee.

Ayatollah Hermione 13837
La Roux? Oh well, whatever. My favourite (that I've heard) from that list are The Horrors so I'm pulling for them since it's got to be better than Florence and the Machine. Guest alex
Who cares though? It basically is the Brits to my mind. There'll be a stand in HMV with all the nominees on it.
