Guest Sima
Even mentioning Tino and Ameobi in the same sentence is a disgrace.
Papa Lazaru 0
He was as inconsistent as Robert, maybe Robert got away with it more since he plays winger, Asprilla was a good finisher on his day but then again so is Ameobi. 29637 You've hit the nail on the head. They're almost identical. Both struggled in the Premiership, both excelled in Europe, and both should have done/ be doing a lot better. Yet one is considered a hero, and the other one is "crap". 29739 Robert is way ahead of Tino in terms of his contribution, for a midfielder he delivered a shitload of goals and direct assists which wins matches and he did it in europe and the premiership. Asprilla didn't score nearly enough for an international striker and missed so many chances to create goals by being selfish or over elaborating. Optimistic Nut 258
Even mentioning Tino and Ameobi in the same sentence is a disgrace. 29784 How? Similar scoring records in Europe & in the Premiership. Both have flashes of brilliance but more often or not flatter to deceive.

If i had to choose one of them obviously i'd go with Tino, he is the better player, but as you point out (but people don't like to hear) they have similar goal records in europe, both go missing in the prem and flatter to decieve. chip2388 0
Asprilla isn't that much better than Ameobi, if you look at the players around him a world class Shearer, Ferdinand, Pedro, Ginola, Lee where as Ameobi a fading Shearer, Bellamy, Robert, Solano. Asprilla easily had the better quality players around him and dare i say it even carried him in some games.
