For what feels like the 100,000,000 time....Like the majority of people on here, i admit i thought it was time for a new chairman. The old board failed to push on after a series of good finishes under robson by making the ridiculous decision to appoint souness then roeder. That's why i felt a takeover by a billionaire owner might be a good thing. I'm convinced you were excited by the prospect of a new owner with deep pockets when the news first broke too. That doesn't mean you were right and i was wrong about anything as it didn't take a genius long to work out that Ashley is potentially the worst chairman we've ever had. This isn't something I've only just come around to. I don't know why you think otherwise. In fact that's why i put you on ignore. Its impossible to engage with someone that ignores what you say and relentlessly puts words in your mouth. It's infuriating.

I'm not so "obsessed" that I can't admit when I am wrong, and I'm not so "obsessed" that I have to block someone who I monumentally disagreed with and have now done a complete u-turn and pretend it didn't happen.

 

Whatever "buttfucked" means, I was always 100% certain that I was right, that is why I stuck to my guns, because I knew it, right from the start. When you know this, people disagreeing with you is water off a ducks back kiddah, and it still is, for the same reason.

Ambition in football is a choice, not a right, nobody knows when we will have an owner who will choose this again, other clubs have rich owners who are choosing to run the club without ambition and without taking chances, you had it and you took it for granted and you didn't want it.

I think it's improved since people stopped trying to have a sensible debate with you Leazes tbh. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to have helped you much personally, as although you'd get worked up when you were arguing, you clearly now get worked up when people don't argue, to the extent you go trolling for it (as above). You can't really blame Gloomy for putting you on ignore in fairness. Where people are saying 'get over it and move on', they actually mean that as honest advice rather than a piss take. Well you quoted me, contradicted my point and told me to 'wake up'. I didn't even mention you as your opinion was irrelevant to what I was saying. It's on page 72. Then later you issue an open letter to the board pleading for suggestions as to why I'm 'getting involved' and suggesting an ego problem. Basically, you confuse the facts within two pages, so obviously you've no chance whatsoever of correctly recalling things that were said over 5 years ago. Unfortunately though you seem to be stuck there forever in your own altered reality, hence why people avoid you.

 

If the bit in bold is right by the way, I'll apologise for whatever you seem to want an apology for (if that'll help). What they do say though is they think it's pretty clear Shepherd (and Hall) couldn't do it either these days, based on myriad factors, both internal and external of NUFC.
