Besty 4
Sunderland have completed the signing of Paul McShane from West Brom. Roy Keane confirmed early on Thursday that the two clubs were in talks, and a deal has now been reached for an initial fee of £1.5million. That figure could rise to £2.5million, depending on appearances and whether Sunderland can survive in the Premier League. Keane has been looking to strengthen his defensive options this summer and turned his focus to McShane after being frustrated in his attempts to sign Leighton Baines from Wigan. The Black Cats manager is familiar with his fellow Irishman's abilities from their time together at Manchester United. McShane joined West Brom from United 12 months ago and was a key player for The Baggies in their ultimately unsuccessful bid for promotion. He becomes Keane's sixth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Greg Halford, Russell Anderson, Michael Chopra, Kieran Richardson and Dickson Etuhu at The Stadium of Light. Don't know how they're expecting to survive with a bunch of Championship players.
Baggio 0
The West Brom fans I know rate him a better player than Curtis Davies. He'll be a decent right back for them.

I thought he failed a medic at the stadium of sh*te a few weeks ago. It looks like royston has hit the panic-button, if that is the case

manc-mag 1
Little known fact but Ted Bovis was a miner until 1974. Only six years before starting Hi de Hi he was still down the pit. You can just imagine how he got the idea he was a comedian like, talk about a captive audience! I'd have hated being on shift with Bovis.
Barney 0
McShane looks a very promising player. He's played centre back for the ROI on several occassions and has looked really good. I saw him a bit for WBA at right back and he was also good there. Got forward well, while still being solid defensively. Good signing for them IMO. Word. Thing is you can imagine Gemmill pondering this in the reverse and eg lamenting the decline of Bones as he went from the triumphant Urine M'Lord to the woeful Operation Good Guys. Theres some shite on caters to the blue rinse though. I watched an episode of Last of the Summer Wine from the late seventies last night. It was so fucking horrific I literally couldnt take my eyes off it. Speaking of which, what the fuck is Kato doing in it nowadays?

Operation Good Guys though, now you're talking.
