Team Gorillaz Rage Against the Machine The Arcade Fire Snoop Dogg Daft Punk Mylo Arctic Monkeys Nirvana Interpol The Chemical Brothers Alice in Chains Public Enemy The Fall I'd personally put the Doggy in between the Snoop & The Dogg as barring The Doggfather he has been absolutely garbage as Snoop Dogg. tinofbeans 91
strangely enough that list of artists is enough for me to consider never listening to chart based shite again. every artist on that playlist is pretty average - shit. thats the trouble with modern chart music, its generic and dull. sad when a youngster starts saying things like this - its been said for over 50 years - and its not true sorry rob. but i have to say that most of that list is pretty unlistenable dross. just my $0.02 by the way. cheers. Walliver 0
Saw Arctic Monkeys live last week. Went with an open mind given the hype surrounding them, and I've liked one or two of their songs. Unfortunately they were absolute shite. All the songs were generic, boring affairs, the band clearly didn't give a shit, no enthusiasm or energy in the performance and no encore. Bland, tedious and samey. Overrated shit. That's a great thing. I really hate when bands have an obvious pre-planned encore. 'What's that? We haven't played our most popular songs yet? Silly us, we better get back on stage.' If it is a genuine encore where a band comes out and repeats some songs or plays some unknown stuff or whatever that's good but I don't think I've seen a band do that. Once, I went to see a band who would've had to go through the audience to get to their dressing room and again to get back on stage so they just stayed on stage and said 'Right, pretend we've been off stage and you've cheered wildly and now we're back for our encore'. It was silly.
