catmag 336
Anyone had anything exciting posted to them that they weren't expecting? Got back from Manc this afternoon to find some Ghost perfume had been posted to me from some promotional people or something. Not quite a full sized £50 bottle or anything but certainly not bad considering it actually smells lurvely too. And may I just say that I am still pissed off with the amount of junk mail that gets hoyed through my door. I get far more in Gateshead than my parents do in Washington and with all the recent carry on about recycling etc, you'd think people would cut back on paper wastage
Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
I had a big pile of post when I came back from holiday but it was mostly junk mail and free sheets. I particularly hate the ones addressed to 'The Occupier' or 'The Car Driver'.

smoggeordie 0
A few Christmas eve's ago I got a Parcel sent from a hospital in London, addressed to Mr Kane, so I presumed it was for my dad. He was adament it was for me so I opened it and it was a parcel from Kevin Keegan for me, with a peronalised signed autobiography and loads of memorabilia he kept from when he was Gaffer. Turned out he was having a check up and my dads mate doing the check up mentioned I was a massive fan, so Keegan took my address and sent me loads of stuff. Me mum was gutted because he'd just upstaged Christmas Edited July 22, 2007 by smoggeordie
Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
Does anyone actually fill up the plastic charity bags with old clothes and put them out to be collected? I do the one for the Great North Air Ambulance but none of the others.
Southern Geordie 1
I never ever get exciting mail. The only mail I get is from Virgin with my internet bills. I got excited when I had mail which wasn't in a red envelope but it turned out to be from the police, which wasn't too great! Now every time I get mail from people other than virgin I get a bit worried

ewerk 30167
Does anyone actually fill up the plastic charity bags with old clothes and put them out to be collected? Occasionally, I always check to see if it's a registered charity because quite often they're just a company looking to sell rags and make a profit so obviously they get fuck all. sweetleftpeg 0
One of my Christmas presents from my Mrs was a subscription to Viz. I keep forgetting about it though, so it's always a pleasant surprise when it pops through the post every month(ish).
Gemmill 44114
I recently received a cheque from NPower for about £140 and one from my insurance company for £125. Both completely unexpected.

I got a tape through the post the other day, too. The only problem I have is that I don't have a tape player...
Barney 0
I got an away Toon jersey sent to me a couple of years ago(the navy one), wasn't expecting it, so that was nice. Also got shares in nufc off one bloke, and signed jersey from him from last season, which I got framed. Edited July 23, 2007 by Barney
khay 10
I got an email from reception saying that two letters had come for me via DHL Delivery. All exited a head through… Turns out they where addressed to someone with the same name in Kazakhstan. We think someone with my name used to work for the same company and that’s why it ended up getting sent to me. Date of post was the 10th of February. Jill 0
Does anyone actually fill up the plastic charity bags with old clothes and put them out to be collected? I put a few things in one a while ago when someone from work had been to Milan and for some unknown and unguessable reason she decided to bring me some sort of headscarf thing. I was going to ditch it at a charity shop but she bloody visits most of them so I waited for an obscure charity I'd never heard of to lob one of the bags through the door, put a couple of other things in it as well just to pad it out a bit. I'm still expecting karma to come round and bite me in the arse though as she'll no doubt find out I ditched it.
