Isn't it a forum rule that people can't have alias accounts?

 

Not at the moment but once the tidy up following the upgrade is completed, it will be. Geniune email addresses for registration may be required and non-logged-on browsing may well become a thing of the past.

 

Dunno if that's a good idea if we want to get new members joining.

I know and I have thought about that - it's a balance between getting new members on board and preventing some of the other stuff going on that we're aware of.

Surely alias accounts can be traced with a simple IP check?

I reckon the whole thing has been blown out of proportion and is fucking stupid.

 

I was offended by a SMO comment about me lass not long ago but it ammounted to nowt because he was just taking the piss.

 

At the end of the day, why 2 posters have left because of 1 comment is beyond me.

 

Is it the general concensus that I'm to blame for pud and toplass fucking off?

 

As explained to pud my comment was a joke and unrelated to anything that's unbeknown to me has gone on in the past. And I'm in the dark completly as to why toplass has fucked off.

Of sorts yeah - depends on the ISP though and if they use a DHCP range.

I don't think we should be concentrating on the whys and wherefores - they've both decided to take some time out which they're totally entitled to do.
