Nothing springs to mind. I reckon the 70's was a great era for films tbh. The 80's did produce some classics. As I've mentioned with music though, it's a bit of a strange way to group things as the opposite ends of decades don't have a lot in common. Anyway, Platoon and Full Metal Jacket spring to mind, along with things like Raiders of the Lost Ark. Too many to mention though probably. I can think of some class individual films, but in general it was an era where the cinema was in decline, for whatever reason. I suppose I was just thinking about films I love really, I'm certainly no expert but both the Godfather films, Chinatown, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Shining (seeing a pattern?), Apocalypse Now, Alien, The Deer Hunter, Dog Day Afternoon and loads of others I've probably forgotten are the sorts of things I was thinking of.
