Guest alex
Plenty of templates on the web mate. Just make it polite and to the point though, stating you've enjoyed your time there etc. but are moving onto a new challenge, or some such cobblers. Isegrim 10045
Dear xxxx Please accept this letter as formal notice that I will be leaving xxxxxxx on completion of my contracted notice period. I have enjoyed my time loafing for xxxxxx but feel the internet facilities at other places are far superior and the time is right to rip off other employers. Matt 0
Handed in my two-liner today. They want me to hang around until the end of september, but it's not going to happen.
Gemmill 47518
Matt, you're vying with me for most job moves in the last few years. What's next?
Matt 0
Matt, you're vying with me for most job moves in the last few years. What's next? Corporate Banking, RBS. I'm bordering on the enigmatic with these moves, though to be fair this one I've been in for 14 months.
wykikitoon 21685
Well, I handed it in this morning and what can I say? They refused to accpet it and would like to know what can be done for me to stay? I told them I want to try new things etc and they said they were gutted at losing me and would rather some other people went instead of me! They must be really desperate Anyways, they are chatting to the Director first before taking it, so what are my options?

Gemmill 47518
If you aren't hellbent on leaving, then see what they offer you. You're not gonna lose anything by at least listening to what they have to say.
wykikitoon 21685
Well thats it. There are too many things pissing me off here and they have promised XYZ in the past and not deliverd it. I want to leave now and thats it really, but I dont want to tarnish anything as one day I can see me coming back.
Gemmill 47518
I would still wait and see what they say as a courtesy. Then you can turn it down and move on on good terms.
Guest alex
Anything they do offer you you want in writing by way of a new contract btw. Should you decide to stay that is.

Gemmill 47518
There is nothing more boring than working a notice btw. I'm 2 weeks from the end of a 2 month one, and I'm bored out of my skull. There's not much point in me doing any work, so it's a question of just getting from 8:30 to 4:30 as quickly and as painlessly as possible. I'm training up my replacement as well and all I get from her all day is how great she is at her job and all the improvements she's going to make to this one. Marvellous dear, but quite honestly, I couldn't give a fuck, so shut your mouth and let me show you how I do it. Keep how you're going to do it to yourself.
