Smooth Operator 10
Been doing this for a few months now and it's shite I reckon. First there's the problem of actually finding the products on a user-unfriendly website, then I never get exactly what I want, there's always something out of stock and despite requesting I recieve no substitute products for those unavailable I always get them. Having seen some of the monkeys they employ to carry out the requisitioning of ordered goods it's nee surprise I cannot get what I want! Then there's the loss of supermarket fanny, always a pleasant sideline to the mundane task of filling the trolley.
Meenzer 15871
Never seen the point myself, not at the price and with the drawbacks you mention anyway. Would only consider it if I was stocking up for a party or something and wanted absolutely loads of (non-fresh) stuff delivered.

Assumed you'd use it solely to purchase copious amounts of ky and condoms to avoid embarrasment at the check-outs?!

Never had that problem myself, stuffs always had a good shelf life in my experience. What they do do though is send me a free delivery code just after I get a shop in so by the time the next shopcomes round it's expired. Cnuts! khay 10
Always been meaning to get round doing a on-line shop. My girlfriend has done it a couple of times and she has got stuff that goes out in the next day or so. Quite handy for folks that don't have a car and wanting to do a big shop though. Gemmill 47212
Used to do it in America cos we didn't have a car, and it was class. There was a company called webvan.com - part of the dotcom boom of crazy ideas - who charged no fee for delivering your stuff (presumably they were getting a kickback from the supermarkets or something). Used them for a while cos it cost you no more or less than going to the supermarket and doing the shop yourself. Unsurprisingly they went bust so that put an end to that. Gemmill 47212
I would use this all the time if I did "big shops" btw. I tend to just go in and get stuff to keep me going for a few days (salads obv ) then go back a few days later though, so it's not worth me getting it delivered. Had some nice fresh tuna in lime and coriander marinade with boiled potatoes and peas last night though - pro chef. I've got some fresh salmon with a lemon and cracked pepper glaze for tonight. Yeah right, in other words your having fish fingers and chips for tea tonight - again. I tend to get all my fresh food from M&S nowadays and get the rest from any big super market. Works out pricey but I like nice meat and fruit.
