She seems happy enough to still be married to him though, so who are we to judge?
AmericanMag 0
I personally hope Beckham's move is a disaster. Not for him, regardless what you say about him, he doesn't come across as a bad bloke, but I hope it fails because I don't want yanks to appreciate the beautiful game like we do. They fuck everything else up in the world, and if they ever embraced it in the way we do, goals would be double their size within 10 years am tellin ye. A little sour grapes eh Stevieintoon, they certainly fucked us up in our first World Cup in 1950 but that's probably before you were born or old enough to remember. I agree that their approach to most things is to try and change it to suit them and television but I think when it comes to football they have realised it's on a World stage and have conformed to playing it the way the rest of the world does. When they tried professional leagues before (which all failed) they tried different points systems, shoot-outs because they had to have a winner as they do in their other sports with OT's and extra-innings, but now the MSL which has been going for 12 years plays it the way we do and a draw is acceptable, sometimes hailed. Inccidently, there are more kids today, boys & girls, playing "soccer" in organized leagues than there are playing Baseball, Basketball, and American Football. Most high schools and colleges have boys & girls/men & women teams. More and more is getting on TV but the problem seems to be that they can't, as yet, get a big enough spectator following at games. I think the number of Yanks playing overseas in Britain and other nations is indicative that the sport has shown massive growth in recent years among its youth. Another thing to keep in mind is that the majority of the fans and the real driving force behind "soccer" in America is the immigrant-American and not the standard stereotypical american. The American game if/when it does get bigger will not affect the sport as a whole.

wellsy 0
Cant believe the noise the crowd are making when ever Beckham touches the ball. Screaming like a bunch of orgasmic teenagers! Beckham is also re-injured his ankle it seems. Probably shouldnt of played but he is hobbling around now after a challenge from Sidwell. Chelsea won 1-
Guest stevieintoon
In terms of newsworthyness, which living Englishman is more prominent than him? Is there one? I think we'll have to put up with the media exposure he's going to have over there. The question is, did he move to America because he's a greedy fucka? Or was it because he genuinely thinks he can make a difference? Either way most of us don't care, but there's a bit of truth in both. Posh's head is annoying though. Better said this time round. Don't blame the American people for what's happening around in the world. Politics and Beckham don't mix. Victoria Beckham is a poor lady's Paris Hilton. She can break a leg and get caught up in a scandal that makes her look shitter than what she does already for all I care. Money and fame do not add up to class. She should shut up, and enjoy her lifestyle. David Beckham does not speak for his wife. It's better if it stays that way. And blame the media for all the rubbish being bandied about. Our media is pathetic. I would stand by that 'till the day I die. Edited July 22, 2007 by Ken

She should shut up, and enjoy her lifestyle. Nonsense. Paris Hilton is famous because she's a rich man's daughter, she's been in a porno and she goes out boozing giving knicker shots to the press. Victoria Beckham, like their music or not, was in one of the most successful pop groups of all time. Obviously her fame has increased because of her marriage to Beckham but she's nothing like Paris.
