Is it too early for Taylor to be captain?!

As has been said before it will most likely be Barton.

 

Sam's said he doesn't want to put that burden on Barton....yet. I agree with him and think it would be too much for him given his reputation etc and being a new boy on the block so to speak. Viduka has more of a chance than Barton IMO...

As you yourself mentioned earlier in this thread, Viduka won't be expected to start every game so I can't see him being made captain, can you?

Barton will be expected to be starting 11 and you can just see Allerdyce throwing that one out there as an incentive for him to step up.

That is indeed a fair point, out of all the players in contention for the first team, I also see him being the most likely starter in the first 11 bar Given. Sam will maybe make him his Nolan?
