Newcastle have reportedly shown interest in the 26-year-old Norway international and, while the player says no contact has been made as yet, he says he would be very interested in a deal. "I haven't heard anything myself from the Englishmen, but Newcastle is of course a top club," he told Bergens Tidende. "Our last season was truly fantastic but, at the same time, I have given my agent permission to look for a top club for me." West Ham have also been linked with a move for Hangeland.
