when has any players come out and said that whenever there name is thrown around in the papers. alot of them just dont say anything, surely he would of gone by now if he didnt want to be here.

He is saying nothing to suit himself.

 

If he had declared that he wanted to leave, but then nobody came in for him, how do you think he would be treated here? Not very well.

 

However, if he says nothing, whatever happens, he wins.

 

Shay Given wants to leave this season, as does Steven Taylor.

Quite the opposite actually. When asked a talk in at Shearers if he would be here for the long haul all Taylor said was "We'll see, but i'm happy at the moment."
